Biography
A highly dedicated, dynamic, and resourceful field ecologist with over 10 years of experience studying threatened birds and mammals in the Himalayas. Galliformes expert, a small mammal researcher, experienced spatial analyst (ArcGIS/online), camera trapping, and bioacoustics. Experiences in community outreach, fundraising, and NGO management.
Grants and Scholarships:
Received small grant from eight different organizations (Wildlife Acoustics Grant 2023, Davis Projects for Peace 2022, Oriental Bird Club, IWSG Small Project and Wader Quest, European Outdoor Conservation Association, World Pheasant Association and Oriental Bird Club, Rufford Small Grant Conservation Fund)
Leadership/Teamwork Experience in Conservation:
Principal Investigator in four projects, project coordinator in two project and involved as an ornithologist/ field ecologist/team member in 11 various projects.
Presentation:
Presented research output in six different national and international conferences
Scientific Publication:
Published eleven peer-reviewed journal articles; Ornithological Science, Diversity, Journal of Environmental Management, Nepalese Journal of Zoology, Wader Study, Ecological Informatics, Journal of Asian Ornithology, European Journal of Ecology, Global Ecology and Environment, Journal of Animal and Plant Sciences and nine articles in different newsletter and two books and two booklets.

  • IUCN Species Survival Commission– Galliformes Specialist Group, Since March 2017 to present

Research Interests:
Macro-ecology, Diversity pattern, Camera trapping, Bioacoustics, and Spatial Analysis focusing birds, small and large mammals.
