PRC 606 - Applying Community Change

This course supports each student to create a manual—with which the new graduate will have a guide for how-to-do-it so she or he can foster the University Mission of research, learning, action toward inclusive and sustainable community change in their specific community. As the graduate’s MA Diploma is proof of the individual fulfilling degree requirements, this manual becomes the guide to show from their learning their community is developing toward inclusive and sustainable change.

Course Faculty

Daniel Taylor has been engaged in social change and conservation for four decades with a focus on building international cooperation to achieve ambitious projects. He founded the nine Future Generations organizations worldwide (including the accredited Future Generations University). He also founded and led The Mountain Institute. In 1985, after providing the scientific explanation for the yeti, he led creating Nepals Makalu-Barun National Park, then, in close partnership with the Tibet Autonomous Region, Chinas Qomolangma (Everest) National Nature Preserve and Four Great Rivers Nature Preserve..
