Jeff Whitney has been working, traveling, and living overseas, or working in international management positions, for over 35 years in over 60 countries on five continents. Large-scale projects that he has managed range from creating the high-level design and financial analysis of a US $4.5 billion freight railway in the Causasus region and a US $500 million fertilizer plant in Georgia, to founding a steel scrap trading business in Ukraine and several export-oriented agribusinesses in Romania, to the management of global chemical and software businesses. In 1992, Jeff founded INTERRES (International Resources Associates), initially as a sole proprietorship. Its mission is to assist small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs), whether in the US or elsewhere, to improve their business via international linkages and financial restructuring. Currently, consulting services are being provided via offices in the USA, Romania, and Kazakhstan to industrial, information technology, and financial companies in the USA, Europe, and Central Asia. Jeff received from Manhattan College, in Bronx, New York a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, summa cum laude, with minors in Philosophy and Theology. He also received from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management, in Glendale, Arizona, a Master in International Management, with honors, with focus on sustainable development, in 1993. A US citizen, Jeff lives part-time in Kazakhstan, speaks five languages, and is a candidate for accreditation as a Certified Financial Analyst.
